Howdy Y’all,
Happy Wednesday! I am so pleased that many of you have enjoyed the TV adverts post, it is so good to take five sometimes and be entertained. I feel like I am hearing lots of sad news recently, it makes me so grateful for all that I have and how blessed I feel. I am going to make sure this holiday season that I enjoy the people I am sharing it with and ensure I rejoice in the small things and make treasured memories. One thing lots of people have contacted me about is getting to know me better, so I thought how can I do this? Attached was the results. Please watch and I hope you get to know and understand me a little better.

Howdy Y’all,
Happy December! How are you all doing? Frantically running around like a headless chicken trying to get everything done? Well that has been me a little of late, since I have been sick with a chest infection since the beginning of man, my to do list is longer than the Mississippi River. I am trying my best to remain swan like as I plough through, after all it is not about perfection- right? I am quite sure that me being sick and many of the other women who I know who are suffering is because they are intent on running themselves ragged. It has finally got cooler in Texas, I may line dance in celebration which has me feeling it is a little more like the festive season. To try and further get myself into the holiday spirit I have recorded this video called the Christmas Tag. So grab a cuppa or a tipple and enjoy.
What holiday traditions do you love? Let me know.
Enjoy.

Howdy Y’all,
Trust your Thanksgiving was full of family, friendship, fun, great food and thankfulness. We had a wonderful day with great friends, the only Debbie Downer is that I have been down with a chest infection which has seen me slowly deteriorate since Thanksgiving. I was not going to let a little sickness keep me from Black Friday, but alas I had game at the start but by lunchtime poor health and crowds had me beat. I think I am over the worst, it is days like the last few when I really feel the distance from family. It would be great to be able to have my mum care for Little L so I could crawl back to bed. Hey- Ho I am still here. I have been lucky to have good friends who have helped me out. I hope to share with you some of my Black Friday finds, although the majority of my buys came online. We did manage to get a few Christmas decorations up this weekend and I will share some photo’s with you soon. I really love this time of year and I really need to be operating on all cylinders, so more drugs for me. The video is about my November Favorites, it covers lots of things I have loved this month, like The Crown, have you seen it? I adored it. What did you think?
Thanks for the support.

Howdy Y’all,
Happy Halloween . Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, ours was very quiet Mr L has picked up one of the infinate bugs lurking around of late, it is a result of the high temperatures we are suffering with here. We hope to be out trick or treating later but it does feel odd doing so in 80OC. Little L is meant to be a mouse this year, we will see how we do, she has very fixed views on everything. I did manage to visit my hairdresser this weekend, we chopped and darkened in hope for cooler weather. I always like to take a chunk off my hair every few years and I decided this was the time.
Today my video is about empty products, I always think these videos are of value because they really show you what I have loved and continued to reuse till empty rather than just first impressions. The majority is skincare! Please enjoy.
Keep safe, enjoy halloween and don’t eat too much candy/sweets (note to self!)

Howdy Y’all!
How are you? Yes it is Thursday and TLL is a day late to the party. This week has been go go go. In an effort to make more time for myself I used some birthday money kindly donated chez Mummy and Daddy L to subscribe to FabFitFun. I have always been interested and impressed by others reviews and they seem to get some pretty decent items. It is a seasonal gift box which you purchase annually or individually and it includes a range of items lifestyle related. The individual boxes cost $49.99 but contain bounty of $200+. The box I am reviewing today is not one of their seasonal boxes but a welcome one. So far I am impressed, see what you think and take a look.

Howdy Y’all,
Happy Monday. We are recovering from an short trip to Dallas for a toddler birthday party, it seems so shocking that we are celebrating our babies now turning three, where does time go? It was the first time I had been back since the move and it was bittersweet, on the one hand I feel so much has happened in the four months since we left and on the other it was like we had never left and could slip back into the routine we loved so much. When you move and are faced with starting anew it really makes you appreciate and value the friendships you made, especially in Dallas where I made friends with mum’s who were all having their first babies around the same time. I do think it is so fortunate that (where we can) we return to the celebrations and blessings of my friends. Little L had a wonderful time.
If you have been a friend of this blog for a little while you will know that Little L had bought me a subscription to Birchbox. Its expiration coincided with our move and I meant to renew, something in the back of my mind had encouraged me to see what other beauty subscription boxes there where out there. I was reading through a friends InStyle magazine and I came across Sephora Play! I had no idea that Sephora had branched out into its own monthly subscription service and I did not have to think twice. Honestly I joined the waitlist, (I am not sure if it is genuinely that or a PR tactic, either way it works.) So you can imagine my delight when I returned on Saturday and found this black and white box on my doorstep. Well here is my first review. Enjoy.
Have a great week.

Howdy Y’all!
Happy Wednesday, Today I am traveling and so this seemed the apt video to post. I do not profess to be an expert in many areas but traveling with a toddler, both internationally and domestically I have down to a fine art (if Little L lets me!) This video does not relate simply to flying it covers essentials for all areas of travel. I filmed this just before our recent vacation. If you don’t have children this video may provide some interesting gift ideas for children in your extended life.
For those of you interested I wish you a peaceful debate viewing this evening (is that even possible?!)
Wish me luck.

Howdy Y’all,
Welcome to Monday. Trust your weekend was relaxed, restful and fun. Ours was just that, unfortunately they go too fast. On Saturday we went to a Taste of event in our village, it was small but effective as I got to see the local vendors. I found a dry cleaner who will collect and deliver from my home (win win.) Little L found a local cupcake shop which was delicious (not such great news long term -lol) What was interesting was Walgreens were represented (a drugstore to non US readers) by Boots (a U.K. drugstore.) They were foundation matching with a machine and giving samples away, being a beauty junkie I was happy to act as volunteer and honestly I was so surprised how accurate the machine was in selecting the correct tone for my skin. I gave a mini review of the product on Instastories and Snapchat. My names are @thelifestylelady and @lifestylelady respectively, if you want a giggle give me a follow.
Saturday night saw date night, firstly we braved that wild jungle called Toys R Us, we were looking for Little L’s impending third birthday (I am in complete denial.) We then recovered by watching Girl on the Train, Emily Blunt was superb but I preferred the book. We followed such darkness with Tapas and good red wine which was yummy. Today has been more relaxed as I was feeling a little under the weather.
So in Texas we are still in full summer mode, I dream of scarves, fleece and hot chocolate but today I share with you my adult summer faves. These are things I have loved, used and repurchased. Many of the things are not entirely summer specific, so please enjoy.
Have a good week.
